Incentives: who benefits if I believe or share this? Alternative hypotheses: can I name at least two? Steelman the best counterargument. Is my confidence calibrated to evidence quality? Am I confusing correlation with causation? Is this argument attacking people instead of claims? If I’m emotional, I pause and reassess later.
